Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Drive to Tarangire National Park
Upon arrival in Arusha, meet your professional safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. The park’s landscape is dotted with ancient baobab trees and is home to large herds of elephants, zebras, and wildebeests. Enjoy your first game drive before dinner and overnight at your Tarangire lodge or camp.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the vast Serengeti plains. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti. Witness the spectacular wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and the great herds of wildebeests and zebras. The endless plains and golden light make this day perfect for photographers. Overnight in the Serengeti.
Day 4: Explore Central Serengeti
Enjoy another day in the heart of the Serengeti. Early morning and late afternoon game drives increase your chances of witnessing predators in action. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged for a breathtaking aerial view of the plains. Overnight at Serengeti lodge or camp.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight in Karatu
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 meters into the crater for a full-day game drive. Spot the Big Five and enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. Later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Karatu to Arusha – Flight to Zanzibar Island
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha and transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar Island. Upon arrival, transfer to your beach hotel for check-in, relaxation, and overnight.
Day 7: Full Day Zanzibar Island
Enjoy a full day of leisure on the pristine beaches of Zanzibar. Optional activities include snorkeling, diving, or exploring the historic Stone Town and its spice markets. Overnight at your Zanzibar beach resort.
Day 8: Explore Zanzibar and Relax by the Beach
Spend another day soaking in the sun or engaging in optional excursions such as a dhow sunset cruise or a spice plantation tour. Overnight stay in Zanzibar.
Day 9: Departure from Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your flight back home or onward travel.
