After lunch, drive for about two hours to the Kinigi District, home of Volcanoes National Park. Check in to your lodge nestled in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains. Dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for registration and a safety briefing. You’ll join a group of eight trekkers for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. Guided by park rangers, hike through bamboo forests and lush terrain to locate a family of mountain gorillas. Spend up to one hour observing these gentle giants in their natural environment, a humbling and moving encounter. Descend back, enjoy lunch, and spend the afternoon at leisure at your lodge.
